Student Testimonial

I have been at EC for 6 months. When I came here for the first time, I couldn’t say anything. At that time, everything was new for me and that made me extremely nervous. But finally, I was not nervous anymore and was also getting to enjoy going to school every day. EC San Francisco is downtown and also near a BART station. It’s very convenient. Moreover, there are clean classrooms, nice computers and great teachers. Even when I had trouble outside of EC, they helped me. I was really surprised and moved deeply by their kindness. Also, they (staff) are very funny- and have school activities every day after school. Thanks to that, I could make friends. I can say I was absolutely happy at EC. I have teachers, friends and a place that I want to see again and brag about to everyone!

Teacher Testimonial

As a lifelong Californian, I’ve been privileged to live amongst a wide range of individuals who have taught me to appreciate the diversity of ideas and values of the many cultures that can be found in this state. I have lived in San Francisco since 2002, and during my time here, I have grown to love this city and the truly unique individuals who make it the distinct place that it is. Living here has shaped me as a person, and expanded my understanding of people and the world in ways I never could have imagined before moving here.

I am a graduate of San Francisco State University, where I earned a Bachelors of Arts degrees in both History and in Political Science. I also attended San Francisco State University’s Single Subject Credential Program for graduate school, where I earned a California teaching credential in Social Sciences with CLAD (Cross-Cultural Language and Academic Development) certification.

I enjoy a broad number of interests, from spending time in nature, to exploring the Internet and playing video games. Above all, I love meeting new people willing to share their insights and experiences about the world we live in. Teaching is my passion and has made me a true believer that the person in the classroom who learns the most each day is the teacher, as each student brings a new and remarkable perspective that makes every class a one-of-a-kind experience.

I am honored to teach at ECSF, as it shows that when energetic and passionate people come together in the spirit of learning and the exchange of ideas, it is impossible to measure the amount of growth an individual can achieve.
