Student Testimonial
As an intern at EC San Francisco, I can affirm that the general atmosphere is wonderful. The facilities are modern and spacious, the location is great and professional and the staff here are always smiling. Best of all, every day I meet interesting students from all over the world. Furthermore, San Francisco is a beautiful and active city where you live within different cultures and easily make numerous friends. As a result, it is a very pleasant place for young foreign people. All of these great conditions form a marvelous recipe to improve your English. For me, this stay is an amazing professional and human experience.

Teacher Testimonial
My name is Vera Rapcsak. I’m originally from Tucson, Arizona, but I have been living in the lovely city of San Francisco for about two years now. I love to spend time outdoors with my four-legged companion Riley. I enjoy hiking, camping, riding my bicycle, yoga, and long days at the beach. I love seeing live music, exploring around the city, and traveling to new places.
After graduating from the University of Arizona with a B.A. in Geography I pursued a career in teaching ESL. I enrolled in the CELTA and finished at the top of my class. After completing the CELTA I did some volunteer teaching and teaching at various language schools in the Bay Area- which eventually led me to EC San Francisco. I have been teaching at ECSF for about a year now. I have taught several different levels, one-to-one lessons, and electives. I am also Student Ambassador Advisor and coordinate the student activity program program. This position has given me the chance to work directly with students to help them develop leadership skills, and plan exciting activities for students at our school.
Don’t be afraid to make mistakes! We learn from our mistakes. Make sure you practice your language outside of the classroom- make friends from other countries or practice with native speakers. Learning doesn’t only happen in the classroom.
My classes are fun and engaging! I love to introduce students to vocabulary that is used by native speakers (idioms and slang). I like to create a buzz in the classroom with conversation topics/exercises that will have a wide range of international opinions.
