From 1st May 2024 ldentita (MALTA) will make the following changes in the VISA application process for students from VISA exempt countries.
| Over 12 weeks course | All students must apply for a long-stay visa (D Visa), also called study visa, prior to arrival via VFS.GLOBAL. |
| Under 12 weeks course | Students can enter with their exemption and will be eligible to apply for an extension if they decide to extend their course. |
Students from Visa exempt countries that do not have a VFS office in their country may enter with their passport and apply for a VISA extension upon arrival in Malta.
By applying for a visa via the VFS the student can use the 90-day VISA exemption after the end of their course.
