Oxford is a historic University City with beautiful college buildings stunning architecture in every style of English architecture since the late Anglo-Saxon period. Thanks to the Universities, there’s an international atmosphere in the city that attracts students from all over the world.
Our centre is located on the Headington campus of Oxford Brookes University, a mix of old and modern buildings set on a large campus with plenty of outdoor space within short walking distance from the city centre.

Learning

  • Taught by friendly and professional English teachers
  • 20 x 45 minute lessons per week morning or afternoon
  • Placement test on day 1 to ensure students in appropriate level
  • Maximum 17 students per class
  • Students will be placed in an international class with students of different nationalities
  • All lessons delivered in well equipped classrooms
  • Curriculum with emphasis on communication skills
  • Materials included and an end of course certificate and report

Programme

Arrival

Students will be welcomed at campus reception where they will register.

Welcome

On the first day, there will be a welcome activity which is designed to ensure students have the opportunity to meet the staff and the other students. They will get to know more about the campus, its facilities and other useful information which will help them during the days.

Activities

Activities are organised inbetween lessons and during the afternoons. These activities could be on-site and near to the centre. These may include:

  • Sports such as football, mini Olympics, rounders, table tennis, volleyball or basketball.
  • Daytime activities such as scavenger hunts and drama workshops.
  • Evening activities such as karaoke, talent show, and team games.

  • Our students get to explore exciting places such as Bourton-on-the-Water in the Cotswolds, Woodstock and Blenheim Gardens and a selection of Oxford Museums and Colleges.

    thrill seekers featuring some of the UK’s most popular roller coasters.
  • Cambridge: This iconic university city is famous for its colleges, where we will visit a famous college.
  • Bicester Village: Explore this luxury shopping destination with over 150 shops and restaurants.
Full-day Excursions
  • London: visit this exciting capital city and take a walking tour of central London visit the National Gallery
  • Stratford-upon-Avon: discover the beautiful home town of Shakespeare steeped in history and culture
  • Windsor Castle: Windsor Castle is the oldest and largest inhabited castle in the world. It has been the family home of British kings and queens for almost 1,000 years and is today one of the official residences of His Majesty The King.

Extra

All Day Programmes start on a Monday and vary in length dependent on the centre. Students will take part of lessons, have lunch at the centre and go on activities and excursions with the rest of the students. Below is a sample of the full summer programme.

Medical information

If a student needs medical attention an Embassy staff member will help make an appointment. Group leaders must accompany the student to an appointment. An Embassy staff member will accompany any student that is not part of a group.
