Cambridge is world famous for its historic colleges and beautiful architecture. Our centre is located in the modern Abbey College a short walk from the city cente. Students stay in an ensuite residential accommodation next to Abbey College. The college is in a modern part of the prestigious city centre close to the University Botanic Gardens, Cambridge Central Railway station and an array of shops and leisure facilities.
Abbey College is a modern, cosmopolitan British secondary school with new buildings and recent refurbishments all around the spacious and secure site. Featuring nearby sports fields and adjoining leisure centre, the school has great facilities for our young learners.
RESIDENTIAL
All meals are served in the large, modern canteen on site at Abbey College.
Breakfast
Students will receive continental breakfast. Breakfast includes tea/coffee/squash, toast, jam, spreads, cereal and fruit.
Lunch
A minimum of 2 options available, including a vegetarian option. Packed lunches for full day excursions and weekends.
Evening Meal
3-course lunch with 2 hot options, one of which is always vegetarian. Special diets are catered for.
Snacks
Vending machines are available for drinks and confectionary.
Facilities
Bespoke lesson materials, the Embassy lesson is designed to engage students in discussion, to develop the key life skills of collaboration and intercultural communication, and to provide extensive opportunities to practice and build on current language.

All learning resources provided are age appropriate and all students receive an end of course certificate of attendance.
Arrival
Students will be welcomed at campus reception where they will register, check in to their rooms and get their room keys.
Welcome
On the first evening, there will be a welcome activity which is designed to ensure students have the opportunity to meet the staff and the other students. They will get to know more about the campus, its facilities and other useful information which will help them during their stay.
Activities
Activities are organised in between lessons and during the evenings. These activities could be on-site and near to the centre. These may include:
Our students go on local visits to Cambridge to explore the charming city on a walking tour or a city quiz.
Students will get to punt on the River Cam and experience the wonderful King’s College and Chapel
The programme also includes a visit to the beautiful 12th Century Cambridge Round Church
London: Visit this exciting capital city and
take a walking tour of central London around Westminster.
Oxford: Students can get to know the other famous university city and visit one of its most famous colleges.
Stratford Upon Avon: Discover the beautiful hometown of Shakespeare steeped in history and culture.
Thorpe Park: Home to thrilling rides, attractions & live events, Thorpe Park Resort is the ultimate destination for thrill seekers featuring some of the UK’s most popular roller coasters.
Windsor and Windsor Castle:
Visit the oldest and largest inhabited castle in the world and has been the family home of British kings and queens for almost 1,000 years.
Brighton: A vibrant, popular seaside resort with beautiful architecture, home to the Sea Life Centre.
Each 21 night stay will include 3 local visits by foot or local transport to Cambridge with activities and 3 half-day excursions and to other sites such as London, Oxford and Stratford. Students also do full-day excursions in Cambridge to explore King’s College, try punting on River Cam, Cambridge Round Church, among other places. Transport for trips may be by private coach or public transport.
