International Media Discover EC Escapes Programme for 45+ Travellers

INTERNATIONAL MEDIA DISCOVER EC ESCAPES PROGRAMME FOR THE 45+, WITH PRESS TRIP IN COLLABORATION WITH VISITMALTA
EC Language Centres, in collaboration with the Malta Tourism Authority, has announced it held an exclusive 4-day press trip for international lifestyle media in mid-June, showcasing the recently launched EC Escapes programme. The press trip was designed to promote the idea of an Experiences, Language and Culture vacation, for people aged over 45, who may not be prioritising language learning.
EC Escapes is offered seasonally in Malta, London, New York and Cape Town and offers a unique blend of language instruction and cultural immersion, giving participants an unparalleled opportunity to improve their English skills while making friends and exploring the rich history, vibrant culture, and stunning landscapes of these initial locations.

“The press, from Brazil, Japan, Italy, Switzerland, and Germany were given a briefing on the course and teaching methods at EC, and were informed about the ‘Get ready to explore’ sessions, showing how vocabulary and terminology for leisure activities like art appreciation, wine tasting in addition to General English lessons for conversation are included. To understand all of this in context, the journalists had excursions to Mosta and Valletta, participated in wine tasting and a cooking class, so they could see how each activity is designed to enhance language learning,” said Chantal Briffa, Business Development Manager, EC Escapes.

EC Escapes represents a new era in language education, where learning extends beyond the classroom and into the real world,” said Andrew Mangion, Chairman and CEO of EC Language Centres. “Malta’s rich cultural tapestry and welcoming environment made it the perfect destination to introduce the programme to the world, via a new channel for us, the lifestyle media.”
Xiaolong (Monica) Wu, Marketing Manager, Visit Malta added, “We were happy to welcome the media to experience Malta’s unique blend of history, culture, and natural beauty. This collaboration with EC Language Centres aligns perfectly with our goal to promote Malta as a premier destination for educational tourism for mature travellers from all around the world”
