Description of accommodation

Each apartment includes three bedrooms and a fully-equipped kitchen with major appliances and kitchenware. All apartments feature comfortable and quality furnishings with a sofa and dining set (refer to the picture n.4). Each bedroom is equipped with a study desk, smart TV and Netflix.

Modern and contemporary Sherbourne apartment is new and located just next to Downtown's Yonge and Bloor neighbourhood. Everything is steps from your door: trendy eateries, eclectic boutiques, emerging art galleries are all yours to explore.

Arrival and departure

  • Arrival day: Saturday Check in: 4.00 pm
    For early arrivals before 4pm, students can wait with their luggage in the lobby or leave their luggage in the apartment and come back at 4pm

    Departure day: Saturday Check out: 11.00 am

Journey to school

Metro - 25 minutes approx. Cycle - 30 minutes approx.
The most convenient way for students to get to EC is by Metro, approximately a 25-minute journey. To travel to the school, follow the directions below:
1. Walk to Sherbourne Station (5 minutes).
2. Enter Sherbourne Station

  • Board line 2 (Bloor-Danforth)subway to travel westbound to Bloor-Yonge station (non-stop, 3 minutes)
  • Transfer line 1(Yong-University) subway to Yonge-Eglinton station (5 stops, 10 minutes)
  • Walk west along Eglinton Avenue to 124 Eglinton Avenue West(350m, 4 minutes)

Cancellations

Cancellation prior to arrival

Students cancelling fewer than 14 days before arrival will be charged a one-week’s accommodation fee at the standard accommodation rate and an accommodation placement fee.

Cancellation after arrival

Students leaving their accommodation must give notice in writing 4 weeks prior to termination. After deducting the price of accommodation used (including the required notice period charged at standard accommodation rates) students will be refunded the remaining accommodation costs. If 4 weeks’ notice is not provided, a cancellation fee equal to 4 weeks of accommodation will apply. Please note: Certain accommodation options may be subject to special cancellation charges. Should these differ from above, students will be notified at the time of cancellation.

Airport Pickup

If you have booked the residence with EC you must arrive at the airport between 05:00 am and 23:00 pm. Late/early arrivals may be asked to book alternative accommodation.
What information do I need to give to book an airport transfer?
Please provide your flight number, arrival time, terminal and airport of origin – minimum 2 weeks in advance
Who will I meet at the airport?
You will meet an EC transportation representative holding an EC sign outside the arrivals gate.
What should I do if I cannot find the EC representative?
If after 10 minutes you cannot see the EC representative, just call 416 209 8331 (from the information desk or a mobile phone). (Useful phrase to use: Hi, my name is (Maria Angela). I am from (Italy). My student number is (123456). I cannot find my EC representative. I am at the information desk.)
What should I do if I have missed my flight or my flight is delayed?
You should notify EC by calling 416 209 8331 (from the information desk or a mobile phone) to rearrange your transfer time and avoid additional cost. (Useful phrase to use: My name is (Maria Angela). I am from (Italy). My student number is (123456) and my flight has been changed. My new flight number is (1234) arriving at (time). 

Other ways to get to your residence

  • Walk to UP Express Person Airport Board UPExpress Union Station train($12.00 cash) and travel 3 stops Union Station(25 minutes)
  • Exit train and walk to Union subway station. (5 minutes)
  • Board line 1(Yong-University) subway to Bloor-Yonge station (6 stops, 9 minutes)
  • Transfer line 2 (Yong-Danforth) subway to Sherbourne station (non-stop, 3 minutes)
  • Walk to 561 Sherbourne on Sherbourne street (260 m, 3 minutes)

Arrival Procedures

Check-in process:
Please keep in mind that you will stay in an apartment building . It is very important:

Contact the numbers below at least one day in advance
Send your flight details or an estimated arrival time as soon as known
When you arrive at Toronto airport please let us know when you will arrive at the residence.

These steps will help you to meet the residence staff in the lobby without any problem or delay.Upon your arrival in the building, you may go to the lobby directly and mention to the concierge that you are a STUDENT staying at HARRINGTON.The staff will provide you with keys and a detailed orientation to the facility, including the gym and other amenities. Check-out process: When you check out, please leave your keys on your desk in your room. If the keys are not returned, there is a charge for lost keys- $25 charge for lost keys $50 charge for lost fobs.

Prices

  • Bedroom 1 (refer to the picture n.1) - has the largest floor plan of the three bedrooms and has a large window overlooking the balcony which allows for plenty of natural light $350 pspw
  • Bedroom 2 & 3 have smaller floor plans but, ample room to move around -$335 pspw. Bedroom 2 has been converted from the common area and has a window with an outside view (refer to the picture under n.2). Bedroom 3 has a window, with privacy blinds, overlooking the internal living area (refer to the pictures under n.3)

  • Students must be 18 years or older
  • No smoking. No pets. No Partying

  • Suites are mixed gender
  • Students must keep bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas clean
  • Monthly cleaning service
  • Students need to supply their own shower towels and consumables (toothpaste, shampoo, toilet papers)
  • Laundry card will be provided by the residence. $3 per wash and $2 per dry
  • Minimum stay: 4 weeks
