Wellington school

A traditional British boarding school, set in wonderful surroundings, in the popular location of the South West of England. Founded in 1837, the school occupies a 35 acre site in the centre of the market town of Wellington. The school offer excellent facilities for students and it’s a short walk away from local high street and shops. Trains run to London from two nearby train stations. Bristol and Bath are also nearby as is the famous town of Glastonbury.

Living
- Room furniture includes single bed, a wardrobe, desk and chair
- Laundry available in residence, free of charge

Learning
- Taught by friendly and professional English teachers
- 20x45 minute lessons per week, morning or afternoon
- Placement test on the first weekday following arrival to ensure students in appropriate level
- Maximum 17 students per class
- Students will be placed in an international class with students of different nationalities
- Modern classrooms with interactive whiteboards
- Classrooms are located throughout the campus
- Curriculum with emphasis on communication skills
- Materials included as well as an end of course report and certificate
Programme Information
Arrival
Student will be welcomed upon arrival at the Embassy Summer Office, where they will register and get their keys so that they can check-in to their rooms.
Welcome
On the first evening, there will be a welcome activity which is designed to ensure students have the opportunity to meet staff and other students and get to know more about the campus, its facilities and useful information which will help them during their stay.
Activities
Activities are organised in-between lessons and during evenings. These activities could be on-site or near to the centre. These may include:
- Sports such as football, mini Olympics, rounders, table tennis, volleyball and basketball
- Daytime activities such as scavenger hunts and drama workshops
- Evening activities such as themed discos, talent shows and team games
Getting to and From School Activities
Our students travel by coach for all activities and excursions outside the centre.

Extra
Each 14 night stay will include 2 half-day trips to nearby towns and attractions and 4 full-day excursions to other exciting towns such as London, Oxford, Brighton and Windsor.
