Costa Verde Shared Apartments are located just a few minutes from La Jolla Village Square and University Towne Centre (UTC) shopping mall. Downtown San Diego is reachable in 20 minutes by car and 35-40 minutes by public transportation. There are supermarkets within a 10-minute walk. There are many conveniences, such as Starbucks, McDonald’s, Subway, currency exchange services, banks, and department stores.
NOTE: Costa Verde Shared Apartments have a 4 week minimum booking.
Description of Accommodation
Costa Verde Shared Apartments are made up of 6 complexes of over 1200 apartments. Students can choose between single or twin rooms. Each apartment consists of a living room, bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen including a refrigerator, a dishwasher, a microwave oven, sink, and a bathroom. In each bedroom there is a bed, a bedside table, lamp, and a closet.
The apartments have a sharing ratio of 1 bathroom between 2 students. Bed linens and towels are provided, but students must bring their own beach towels. Each apartment has a clothes washer and dryer which students may use at no extra charge. Students can make free local phone calls. To make international calls, students need to buy a phone card which will unblock the phone. Bi-weekly cleaning of the full apartment is provided.

Arrival and departure
Arrival: Saturday (Sunday arrival is possible)
Check-in: 15:30
Early Check-in is not allowed. Management has to be informed two weeks in advance to see if there is availability to enter the unit early.
Late Check-in is allowed.
Students will receive an email the week of their arrival with their lockbox code and a check-in sheet with directions

Late check-out is not allowed. Management has to be informed two weeks prior to departure to see if they can hold the luggage for student
Cancellations
Cancellation prior to arrival
Students cancelling or postponing 14 days or less prior to their accommodation dates will be charged a two-week accommodation fee at the rate quoted in the price list for the accommodation booked and the accommodation placement fee.
Cancellation after arrival
Students leaving their accommodation must give notice in writing 4 weeks prior to termination. If the 4-week notice period is not provided a cancellation fee equal to 4 weeks of the accommodation cost will apply. After deducting the price of accommodation used at the rate quoted in the price list, including the required notice period charged at the same rate, students will be refunded the remaining accommodation costs.
House Rules
- Students must be 18+ to choose this accommodation
- Single gender apartments
- Deposit is not required; however, credit voucher required in case of damages, excessive utility usage or other incidents.
- Private room residents are welcome to have guests in their room up to 3 days in any consecutive 30-day period free of charge, and assume responsibility for all actions and behavior of their guests. Shared room residents are not allowed to have guests in their room
- Smoking is not permitted
- Due to health and safety regulations, bedroom doors in shared accommodation do not have locks
- Students are asked to carry travel insurance which has a personal liability coverage for any damages they may cause.
- While we promote and support diversity, we cannot guarantee language mix. However, we always encourage students to use English to communicate, be respectful, and inclusive of others
- EC provides a clean living space for all students and expects a basic level of respect from all students. For example, if something is dropped, pick it up; do not leave clothes and belongings on the floor; place rubbish and leftovers in a garbage bag
