History, comfort, and location, come together at the Mansfield. This former boutique hotel was recently converted into a student residence. Located in New York’s midtown neighborhood, the Mansfield is in the city center and under 10 minute walk to EC New York, Times Square, and Grand Central Station. This student residence is also walking distance to 5th Avenue shopping, Rockefeller Center, and the Empire State Building. Our residence cannot get more central than this location.
Description of Accommodation
Student rooms are cozy with basic amenities including microwave, mini refrigerator, kettle, coffee maker, and a flat screen television, The building has a concierge, lounge, entertainment, library, shared kitchen, and a fitness center.
We offer two room types:
- Single with ensuite bath: A private bedroom occupied by one person only and a fully private, adjoining bathroom.
- Semi-private with shared bath: One space with a partition diving sleeping areas for 2 occupants, providing a balance of privacy and shared facilities. The bathroom will be shared with one other student, but only one student can occupy the bathroom at any time.
* EC requires flight information, phone number, and email addresses for all students staying at this residence prior to arrival.
Miscellaneous
- Laundry Facilities are located in the basement of the Mansfield. Cost is $3.25 for washer and $2.75 for dryer. Will need to download the app “ShinePay”.
- A code will be provided to the student prior to arrival along with check-in instructions. One code will be for the main door, and one will be for your room. Students will need to download the app “Latch”.
- Student will have a full bed in their room.
- Shared rooms will be cleaned bi-weekly. Single rooms will be cleaned prior to check-in.
- Cleaning service can be provided at an additional cost and should be reserved through EC New York.

Journey to school
Student will head west on W 44th Street towards 6th Ave. Student will then turn left onto 7th Ave and then turn right onto 43rd Street. EC New York is located at 1501 Broadway 11th Floor, New York New York 10036. (8 minutes).
Arrival and departure
Arrival Day: Saturday (Sunday arrival possible)
Check-in time: 16:00
Early check-in is not allowed. The student is asked to wait in the common spaces of the building if the room is not ready.
Late check-in is allowed: Contact the Mansfield Office via WhatsApp to let them know your arrival time. Students arriving after 21:00 will be asked to check into the residence by themselves.
Departure Day: Saturday
Check-out time: 11:00
Cancellations
Cancellation prior to arrival
Students cancelling or postponing 14 days or less prior to their accommodation dates will be charged a two-week accommodation fee at the rate quoted in the price list for the accommodation booked and the accommodation placement fee.
Cancellation after arrival
Students leaving their accommodation must give notice in writing 4 weeks prior to termination. If the 4-week notice period is not provided a cancellation fee equal to 4 weeks of the accommodation cost will apply. After deducting the price of accommodation used at the rate quoted in the price list, including the required notice period charged at the same rate, students will be refunded the remaining accommodation costs.
Airport Pickup
If you booked an airport transfer, after you collect your luggage and exit into the Arrivals Area, find the Welcome Center and look for your driver. Your driver will be waiting there with a sign that has your name on it. Please note: For arrivals at JFK International Airport, there is construction at Terminal 1 and 7. Your driver will not be able to enter the terminal, but has been instructed to meet you curbside. After entering the arrivals area, go outside to the street and meet your driver at passenger pickup area “B”. For Terminal 4, please take the airport shuttle bus to the Remote Ride App and Car Service Lot location and your driver will be in either pick-up slot R1, R2 or P2.
NOTE: International transfers will arrive 90 minutes after the flight lands and domestic arrivals will arrive 30 minutes after the flight lands to allow the students to retrieve their luggage. If you do not see a driver with a sign with your name on it, please call the EC New York Emergency phone line at +1-631-612-4494.
House Rules
- Students need to be 18 years old to use this accommodation.
- Smoking is not permitted in any part of the apartment.
- No pets or partying
- Students arriving in EC accommodation between 22.00 – 08.00 may be asked to book alternative accommodation for their first night. This is to ensure student’s safety on arrival.
- While we promote and support diversity, we cannot guarantee language mix. However, we always encourage students to use English to communicate, be respectful and inclusive of others.
- EC provides a clean living space for all students and expects a basic level of respect from all students. For example, if something is dropped, pick it up; do not leave clothes and belongings on the floor; place rubbish and leftovers in a garbage bag.
- Students are required to follow EC Student Code of Conduct, failure to do so can result in termination of the accommodation.
Arrival Procedures
- Students will receive individual check in instructions via email prior to their stay, with instructions on how to download “Latch” and the code to enter the building and their room.
- Check in to the room begins at 16:00. If you arrive earlier than this designated time, you may utilize the luggage drop-off service. The onsite team will help you with your bags. The student is asked to wait in the common spaces of the building until the room is ready.
- Your individual code will be provided to you prior to your arrival.
