Student Testimonial

I found out about EC San Diego through Google and have been here for 6 months. I am going to EC Boston for the rest of the five months. I really enjoyed my time in San Diego and at EC San Diego mainly because of the nice people, nice weather and great teachers. I will miss everyone. I participated in a lot of school activities like going to Las Vegas, school BBQ and beach volleyball. I would suggest to new students to enjoy the best weather in your life.

Teacher Testimonial

Hi! My name is John Kim. I’m originally from Honolulu, Hawaii, but I’ve been living here in San Diego, California since 2003. I am proud and honored to have been involved with public service for over 20 years and I am now just as proud and honored to be involved with the international group of students who come to EC to experience a full immersion English course in San Diego.

I teach Business and Academic English courses at EC San Diego. I want my classes to be as fun and interactive as possible. I love creating a buzz in class with cool vocabulary activities and conversation exercises. I also teach the Free Conversation courses offered on Tuesdays and Fridays! I like to use everything I have learned from all my life experiences to create interesting, challenging, and fun lessons for my students.

Before I started teaching, I worked in various military and diplomatic positions worldwide for over 24 years. During that time I studied and taught leadership, language, business, and management courses abroad. Because of this I have experienced life in multiple foreign countries, and found like I love learning about other cultures and languages, especially about how other languages differ from English.

I would like to say that teaching English here at EC gives me the opportunity to share and deliver an educational experience in mind and heart that produces outstanding global citizens as a end result. I would like for all my students who learn English in San Diego to leave EC with a sense that they are a citizen of the world, and that learning English is key to finding their success in life.
