The Overlook is located in Boston’s Brighton neighbourhood, right next to Allston. These areas are popular with students and young professionals, giving them a lively and welcoming atmosphere. You’ll find plenty of cafés, restaurants, grocery stores, and shops within walking distance, as well as easy access to public transportation that connects you to downtown Boston. Brighton and Allston are known for their diverse food scene, music venues, and relaxed residential streets. It’s a great mix of convenience and community, with everything you need for daily life close by, plus a good social scene when you want it.
Description of Accommodation
The Overlook at St. Gabriel’s is a special apartment community. It uses beautiful restored historic budlings, like an old church and monastery, mixed with modern fully furnished twin apartment. The Overlook includes lots of green space, a pool, fitness areas, lounges, a café, and a big community space called Maker Hall. It blends old charm with modern comfort.
Miscellaneous
- Rooms are cleaned upon arrival, students are responsible for cleaning their own rooms, but can have them cleaned for an additional charge.
- There is one washing machine and one dryer available per unit. Students need to buy their own laundry detergent.
- Luggage drop-off service not available, student can wait in the common areas with their luggage
- Students must provide their own towel.
- Fully equipped kitchen with fridge, stovetop, oven, pots and pans, and cooking utensils.

Arrival and departure
Arrival day: Saturday ( Sunday arrival is possible)
Check-in: 16:00 – 21:00
Student will check-in with the concierge and they will give them the key to their room.
Departure day: Saturday
Check-out: 10:00 a.m.
Late check out is not possible.
Cancellations
Cancellation prior to arrival
Students cancelling or postponing within 14 days of arrival date, for reasons other than visa denial, will be charged a one-week accommodation fee at the standard accommodation rate and the accommodation placement fee.
Cancellation after arrival
Students leaving their accommodation must give notice in writing 4 weeks prior to termination. After deducting the price of accommodation used, including the required notice period, charged at standard accommodation rates, students will be refunded the remaining accommodation costs. If the 4-week notice period is not provided a cancellation fee equal to 4 weeks of the accommodation cost will apply.
Airport Pick-up
If you have requested an airport transfer service from the airport to your accommodation, the driver will be waiting for you at the Information Desk, located inside your Arriving Terminal. Your driver will be holding a sign with EC Boston on it. There is only one Information Desk in each terminal, so please do not leave your Arrival Terminal and do not go outside.
If you do not see the Transportation Company Representative immediately, please wait for 15 minutes at the designated meeting spot. If, after 15 minutes, you still do not see the Transfer company, please call or send a WhatsApp message to 1-857-707-9161.
Even if the Transfer Company does not answer the phone, please leave a message about your location, so the representative can meet you as soon as possible.
Please make sure to contact EC Boston if there is any problem, or if you have missed your flight or if your flight is delayed, so we can inform the transfer company of your later arrival. EC Boston’s emergency phone numbers is1-202-909-5873

Go to the concierge and check-in with them. They will give you the room key.
House Rules
- Students must be 18 + to choose this residence
- Mixed Gender: Male and female students share common areas and facilities, but bedrooms are single gender.
- Max. of 2 guests at a time. No overnight guests.
- Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the residence.
- While we promote and support diversity, we cannot guarantee language mix. However, we always encourage students to use English to communicate, be respectful and inclusive of others
- EC provides a clean living space for all students and expects a basic level of respect from all students. For example, if something is dropped, pick it up; do not leave clothes and belongings on the floor; place rubbish and leftovers in a garbage bag
Students are required to follow EC Student Code of Conduct, failure to do so can result in termination of the accommodation.
