Course: General English
20 lessons per week (a total of 15 hours)
1 lesson = 45 minutes

  • No lessons are held on the first day, but students will be given a Placement Test, followed by orientation and an activity in the afternoon.
  • Lessons are engaging and designed especially for young learners. Teachers aim to satisfy any interest, with a focus on communication to boost students' confidence when using English in practical situations. Regular projects, assignments and conversation classes help to ensure that students improve their English as much as possible.
  • The course will develop students’ English language skills by integrating the key areas of reading, writing, speaking and listening.
  • Classes will begin on the second day and students will follow a regular time table.
  • Lessons will alternate between morning and afternoon sessions on a weekly basis.

First Day

On the first day, all students take a placement test which allows academic staff to place students in the relevant group for their ability.

After the test, students will be given orientation. During the orientation, students will be provided with the schedule of classes, directions to classes and details on activities.

Maximum Class Size

All students must attend classes and activities on a daily basis unless they are genuinely indisposed (due to illness, for example). In case of a student falling ill, an EC staff member will provide assistance.

Educational materials

Students receive all the necessary materials for their lessons, building up a pack of resources to take home. On the last day, students are presented with a Certificate of Attendance.

Extra Activity

  • Extra activities must be booked at the time of course booking.
