Why Merrimack College?

Merrimack College is a selective, independent college in the Catholic, Augustinian tradition whose mission is to enlighten minds, engage hearts and empower lives.

What do I need to apply?

 1. Complete the Common App (including the 500 word essay)Visit

Register as a new user
Select and add Merrimack College on your MY COLLEGES List
Complete the Common Application and submit your Secondary School Report (SSR) Submit
2. Submit an official secondary school transcript with an official English translation.
Transcripts must include every year attended
Transcripts need to be sent directly from your high school
3. Submit proof of English proficiency.
Test scores must be sent directly from the testing authority or institution
Tests must be completed within the past two years
All international applicants are required to demonstrate English proficiency if English is not their native language
If you meet all the requirements except for English Proficiency, Merrimack College has Conditional Admission Options
English proficiency to satisfy Merrimack College’s requirement can be demonstrated by the following:
A minimum TOEFL score of 80 (internet-based) with no subset score lower than 18 for all students whose native language is not English
A minimum IELTS score of 6.5 (with no band below 6.0) for all students whose native language is not English
A minimum SAT Critical Reading Score of 500
A minimum PTE Academic score of 53
A minimum ACT composite score of 23
4. Submit one letter of recommendation from high school teacher or counselor.
The Common App International Supplement is preferred, but not required
Must be sent directly from the person writing it
Recommendation letters from English language school teachers will be accepted as a supplement to your application but you will still be required to submit a recommendation letter from a high school teacher or counselor
5. Submit a declaration of finances form.
6. While optional it is highly encouraged that applicants also submit a resume and schedule an interview.
