Study at renowned Terenure College, located in a beautiful, green setting in the Dublin suburbs.

Living
- Twin/triple room, shared bathroom, full board
- Laundry will be provided by the homestay once a week
- Bed linen is provided, but students should bring their own towels. Linen and towels will be cleaned once a week by the homestay provider
- Bedrooms and bathrooms will be cleaned once a week by the homestay provider
- Homestay providers are all located within a 45-minute bus journey of the Terenure College


Learning
- Taught by friendly and professional English teachers
- 20 x 45 minute lessons per week morning or afternoon
- Placement test on day 1 to ensure students in appropriate level
- Maximum 16 students per class
- Students will be placed in an international class with students of different nationalities
- Spacious classrooms
- Curriculum with emphasis on communication skills
- Materials included as well as an end of course report and certificate
Programme Information
Arrival
Students will be met and greeted by Embassy Staff/driver if an arrival airport transfer has been reserved.
Welcome
Homestay students will be welcomed by their homestay on arrival. They receive a welcome letter containing course information, rules, information about the family and how to commute to Terenure College. Homestay students will spend their first evening with their homestay.
Activities
Activities are organised every day, these activities take place either on-site or in the city centre. These may include:
- Sports such as football, mini Olympics, Gaelic Football, ultimate frisbee, etc
- Daytime activities such as Viking Splash, Dublin Hop-on Hop-off tour, EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum, Kilmainham Gaol and Irish Museum of Modern Art, etc
- Evening activities such as karaoke, talent show, film night, quiz night, etc
Excursions and Trips
FULL-DAY EXCURSIONS
- Bray: The beautiful coastal town of Bray in County Wicklow is one hour away from Dublin. Students will have the opportunity to enjoy the seaside town’s attractions and a scenic walk under the cliffs.
- Glendalough: Students spend the day in Glendalough enjoying the beauty of the Irish countryside where they will walk through Wicklow Mountains National Park and gain insight into the country’s history and culture. They will also visit the medieval monastic settlement of Glendalough.
- Belfast & Titanic Museum: Belfast is the capital and largest city in Northern Ireland, best known for being where the RMS Titanic was built. This trip includes a visit to the world-famous Titanic Museum!
- Kilkenny: Kilkenny is the Ireland of many visitors’ imaginations. Built from dark grey limestone flecked with fossil seashells, Kilkenny is also known as ‘the Marble City’. The trip includes a visit to Kilkenny Castle, one of Ireland’s most visited heritage sites.
- Portmarnock: Portmarnock is a coastal suburban village in Fingal, Ireland with sandy beaches. Students will experience and enjoy the coastal town along with activities.

Each 14-night stay will include 10 afternoon/morning activities such as visits to museums, Dublin sightseeing and sports and and 6 evening activities. It will also include 2 full-day excursions to places such as Kilkenny, Belfast, and Glendalough.Students may have lessons either in the morning or in the afternoon, alternating weekly after that.This programme is for illustrative purposes and activities and visits may change.
