Description of accommodation

The property itself is within a spacious and lively apartment complex where you can find other students from universities and colleges residing.

The apartments are accessed from the communal stairwell and open into a generously sized entrance hall with ample storage for luggage. Off the entrance hall are three study bedrooms; one single ensuite room and two single rooms with semi-private bathroom. Each bedroom has plenty of storage for clothes and study materials. There is a light and spacious living room with double doors along with a fully fitted kitchen equipped with all the necessary cooking utensils. Students can enjoy a night in, relaxing and cooking with their flatmates.

Students can enjoy high speed Wifi throughout the flat as well as all the facilities that you would expect, laundry, bike storage and secure entry system. There will be a weekly clean throughout your stay to ensure you are comfortable in the apartment.

Description of local area

Venneit Close is ideally located just a 15 minute walk from the school, it is conveniently close to the city centre and Oxford Railway station. Oxford has many cultural attractions as well as a vibrant range of bars, restaurants and shops. The coach station, with coaches leaving for London every 10 minutes is just a 10 minute walk away. The property boasts beautifully maintained communal gardens for students to enjoy socialising and relaxing outdoors. The apartments are also close to Oxford University's world famous Saïd Business School.

Cancellation prior to arrival

Students cancelling fewer than 14 days before arrival will be charged a one-week accommodation fee at the standard accommodation rate and accommodation placement fees.

Cancellation after arrival

Students leaving their accommodation must give notice in writing 4 weeks prior to termination. After deducting the price of accommodation used, including the required notice period, charged at standard accommodation rates, students will be refunded the remaining accommodation costs.

If the 4-week notice period is not provided, a cancellation fee equal to 4 weeks of the accommodation cost will apply. Please note: Certain accommodation options may be subject to special cancellation charges. Should these differ from above, students will be notified at the time of cancellation.

Airport Pickup

If you have booked an EC transfer, Please wait for your driver in the arrival lounge of the airport or train station you are arriving at. If the driver is not there, please call the EC Oxford emergency phone on +44 (0)7544738160.

Other ways to get to your residence

There is generally good access to Oxford from most airports. Heathrow and Gatwick have regular buses called the airline and you can buy tickets for these buses with the driver. Many other airports have connections with National Express – however students need to be booked in advance. The buses terminate at Gloucester Green bus station, which is a 15 minute walk away from the Venniet Close. If students have a lot of luggage there are always taxis waiting at Gloucester Green coach station.

Arrival Procedures

Students need to call the EC staff member one hour before arrival on +447518926225. The student should make their way to flats 80/81 in Venneit Close, where an EC representative will be waiting to welcome them to the residence.


  • Sgl rm ensuite, Mid Season = £250 per student per week; High Season = £265 per student per week
  • Sgl rm shared bathroom, Mid Season = £230 per student per week; High Season = £245 per student per week


  • Students should complete a Credit Card Authorisation Form and return to reception during their first week in Oxford. This is in case there are any damages to the room or lost keys after the student departs. The credit or debit card will be charged in these cases and the student will be informed
  • The residence is mixed gender, however bedrooms are private and students are not permitted to enter any bedroom other than their own during their stay.all private. The communal areas are the hall, the living room, the kitchen and the garden.
  • If a student loses their key, there is a £25 charge which the student will have to pay in the school.
  • There is a mid-week clean included, however there will be no mid-week clean during the student’s first and last week in the apartments.
  • According to UK law, smoking is not permitted in the rooms and should only be done outdoors.
