Miscellaneous

  • Only cleaning of the kitchen and communal area has been provided. The flat is cleaned once a week. The rubbish will be empty from the kitchen, however students are advised to throw away their own personal waste such as boxes and other excessive out into our bins that are located behind the building Bedrooms cleaning is not included. It is not possible to request any bedroom cleaning at any extra costs
  • There are 25 washing machines. The washing machines are provided by Circuit Laundry. Its approximately £5.50 for a wash and dry. Students need to download the Circuit Laundry App and create an account on their phone. Once they have created an account using their email address and password they will then have to buy credit to pay for the laundry. They will need to have a credit/bank card to buy any credit. The laundry service is a pay as you go service so it’s up to students how much they wish to top up

Description of Local Area

Lambert & Fairfield House places students in a great location for their studies at EC Manchester. Moments away from Piccadilly Station, students will find a range of amenities right close by, with supermarkets and lots of lively bars and restaurants within walking distance.

Description of Accommodation

Each reserved room comes with a dining pack containing a dinner plate, side plate, bowl and utensils (knife, fork and spoon). Each kitchen comes with a kitchen pack containing eight saucepans, eight frying pans and three utensil packs,. There is also one bedding pack per student. Towels are NOT included. There is a light kitchen cleaning service on a weekly basis.

Arrival and departure

  • Arrival day: Saturday (Sunday arrival is not allowed).
    Check in: 15:00
    Early Check in is not allowed. Students who arrive before check in time can leave their luggage at the residence.
    Late check in is allowed (check in is 24 hours).


     

  • Departure day: Saturday 
    Check out: 10:00
    Late check out is not allowed. Students must check out at 10am, if their flights/alternative accommodation is not ready until much later on they can leave their luggage and collect it later that day.

Cancellations

Cancellation prior to arrival

Students cancelling fewer than 14 days before arrival will be charged a one-week accommodation fee at the standard accommodation rate plus the accommodation placement fee.

Cancellation after arrival

Students leaving their accommodation must give notice in writing 4 weeks prior to termination. After deducting the price of accommodation used, including the required notice period, charged at standard accommodation rates, students will be refunded the remaining accommodation costs. If the 4-week notice period is not provided, a cancellation fee equal to 4 weeks of the accommodation cost will apply.

Airport Pickup

If a taxi transfer has been booked, the student should go directly to the ARROW CARS stand at the terminal in which they land. Once there, the student should state his/her name and the driver will come.

Other ways to get to your residence

If no transfer is booked, the student can take a taxi cab from the airport (book upon landing). Alternatively, the student can take the train or tram directly from the airport to Piccadilly. The train takes approximately 20 minutes, and the tram takes approximately 50 minutes.

Arrival Procedures

Students can check in with the Lambert and Fairfield reception team from 15:00, at which point they will be given the key to their rooms. The room should be clean and ready for their use.

House Rules

  • Students need to be 18+ to choose this accommodation
  • Mixed gender
  • Deposit policy: EC will take students credit card details on first day and store securely in case of any damages
  • Guests may stay for a maximum of 4 nights. Students must sign guests in and out at reception.
  • Smoking is not permitted
  • While we promote and support diversity, we cannot guarantee language mix. However, we always encourage students to use English to communicate, be respectful and inclusive of others
  • EC provides a clean living space for all students and expects a basic level of respect from all students. For example, if something is dropped, pick it up; do not leave clothes and belongings on the floor; place rubbish and leftovers in a garbage bag
