Description of accommodation

This residence accommodates 11 mixed gender students and is ideal for those who want to live in the centre of Brighton. The rooms are large and well decorated. The residence includes two lounge areas, a dining area, a kitchen and a spacious TV lounge area. The fully fitted kitchen includes a microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and a dryer. The house also has 4 bathrooms which include shower facilities and a cloakroom with a basin. All bedrooms have a wardrobe and desks for study. Bed linen is provided and is changed on a weekly basis.

St James Place is a 17 minute walk from the city centre or a 13 minute journey using public transport.

The residence is situated in a beautiful four storey house in a quiet lane just off one of Brighton’s most vibrant streets - St. James’ Street. St. James’ Street has a wide range of bars, restaurants and clubs. The residence is also just a few metres away from the Old Steine, where you will find the famous Royal Pavilion.

Arrival Procedures

Upon arrival please call the EC Brighton emergency number +44 (0) 7714 459205 when you are approximately 30 minutes away from Brighton and a member of staff will meet you at the residence, show you to your room and provide you with their esidence key.

Notes

  • Mixed Gender: Male and female students share common areas and facilities, but bedrooms are single gender.
  • Students should bring their own beach towels
  • Residences are suitable for students aged 18 - 28 years.
  • The residence accommodates both male and female student.
  • Individual rooms do not have locking doors due to health and safety regulations.
  • A damage deposit form must be completed on the first day of school. It is important that you bring details of a friend’s or relative’s credit/debit card with you if you do not have one yourself with a letter of authority to use this card. Payment for damages must be effected immediately.
  • If you are unable to check into your residence on the pre- booked day of arrival, please call the emergency number and advise our staff of your intended check in date and estimated time of arrival.
