Arrival at Airport

All unaccompanied minors (under 18 year olds) are recommended to book an airport transfer service at time of enrolment for arrival and departure however students are able to book their own mode of transport to/from their accommodation.

I want an EC airport transfer, can I arrive at any time?
A transfer service from the airport to your accommodation can be pre-booked with EC English. Alternatively, taxis and shuttle services are available at the airport. Please note that if you are staying with a host family, they do not personally provide a transfer service, so this should not be requested.

What information do I need to give to book an airport transfer?
Please provide your flight number, arrival time, terminal and airport of origin – minimum 2 weeks in advance.

Who will I meet at the airport?
When entering the Arrivals Hall to meet your driver, please turn left and look for the Pre-booked transport desk. DO NOT ACCEPT ANY OTHER OFFERS. Premier Transfers WILL NEVER ASK YOU FOR ANY MONEY. IF ASKED, DO NOT PAY. DO NOT LEAVE MAIN ARRIVALS AREA. hat should I do if I haven’t booked an EC transfer?
Taxis and shuttle services are available at the airport. The shuttle service schedules can be found on

From Britomart Transport Centre:
The Britomart Transport Centre is Auckland’s primary transportation hub. It is located at 8-10 Queen Street and is used for both us and train travel. Embassy’s Auckland centre is 1.7 km from Britomart and can be reached in approximately 25 minutes on foot by walking to the top of Queen Street then turning left onto Karangahape Road. Many buses travel up Queen Street and can be caught from directly out in front of the main Britomart building. The easiest to spot is the red City Link.
From Auckland International Airport:
Airbus Express provides an airport-to-city service 24 hours a day. It is a popular transport option due to its reliability and cheap price when compared with taxis. For more information, visit

Transfer to your accommodation:
If you have chosen to use our airport transfer service, you will be met at Auckland Airport and transferred directly to your accommodation.
