Student Testimonial

"Likely to Recommend: 10 - Extremely Likely"
I saw a beautiful city and country. I saw so many different cultures. I met nice, warm, very friendly and open people. I had the opportunity to share my feelings and emotions with my classmates and teachers. I took part in very interesting English lessons that gave me a lot of experiences and practice not only in English speaking. I saw well qualified staff and teachers, who patiently explained details. I could taste African food and local beer and wine. I could see African everyday life.

Two weeks was too short but great. Learning English is finally a long process and perhaps never-ending. I tried to speak as much as possible at school and on the streets of CT, in the shops and in your school as well. That is why I decided to arrive to South Africa completely alone. I really tried to be an active student. Really appreciate efforts all teachers I met. Their approach to us, students of your school, their patience and understanding will be for ever in my memory.

At the residence, I met very friendly, helpful and open people and I could speak with after school. Not Hilton but everything was great, the accommodation gave me everyday opportunity to see your beautiful city, I walked everywhere practicing my English and understanding how important it is. Finally, I could encourage others to talk to me, in English of course!

Too short stay in CT unfortunately, I had to go back to my work, that I love very much. I really appreciate all your efforts. Once again thank you.

Teacher Testimonial

Hello, I’m Aaliya and I was born and bred in South Africa. I’m a passionate Capetonian who loves living in this diverse and colourful Mother City. English is my mother tongue and have been an EFL teacher for 10 years, having worked at various language schools in Cape Town, and also helped set up a unique English Language school in the city centre. I hold a CELTA certificate and have been a Director of Studies at two previous language schools in my EFL career. I currently prefer teaching since it allows me to meet new people from all walks of life and assist them along their English language learning journey thus exchanging stories and fond memories with students.

Read, speak and communicate in English. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes – you will only learn from them…surround and immerse yourself in English. LIVE the Language! My classes are as fun and interactive as possible. I love creating a buzz in class with cool vocabulary activities, understanding and applying the grammar in real-life contexts and conversation exercises.

I teach English to Foreigners as a global tool for Communication! I focus on communication; interaction and integration as a means to build cultural and social bridges through the medium of English.

We are so lucky to have such beautiful beaches and mountains in Cape Town…so anywhere in nature suits me perfectly and also skateboarding along the beachfront. You can’t leave Cape Town without discovering Table Mountain!
