What can you expect on this course?

Get off the beaten track and interact with African wildlife along the Garden Route and Klein Karoo. Spot Africa’s Big 5 animals in their natural habitat, travel on the scenic Route 62, have face-to-face encounters and interact with elephants, ostriches, cubs & more!

1 Day Safari Tour

Depart Cape Town at 06.30am and drive through the Huguenot Tunnel.
This safari includes a welcome drink, a 2 hour Game drive, a walk with the Giraffes (depending on the time). Followed by a visit to the Cheetah & Lion project and a quick dip in the pool.

2 Day WILDLIFE & Safari Tour 

Big5 4X4 Game Drive
Admire most of Africa’s Big5 from the safety of a 4x4 vehicle, in their natural habitat. View animals such as giraffe, white rhino, lion, elephant, buffalo, kudu, zebra, wildebeest, just to name a few. Along South Africa’s most famous country road you’ll capture the beauty of high mountains, twisting passes, rugged Karoo plains, vineyards and orchards. The game drive is led by an experienced and knowledgeable game ranger, sharing knowledge of the big game as well as the many other antelope species, birdlife and insects on a malaria free private Game Reserve.

Ostrich Farm Tour
A fun and entertaining way to learn more about the ostrich, the largest bird in the world.The more daring even get a chance to ride an ostrich. (within weight limits)Stand in a nest on their massive eggs - and make sure your friends take a picture of you hugging and kissing the world’s most friendly ostrich.

Overnight in Oudtshoorn
A town in the semi-desert Klein Karoo, offering rugged beauty as the setting sun paints the Swartberg and Outeniqua mountains in shades of pink. Stay in a hostel or lodge, in a double or twin room with shared bathroom and a lively atmosphere.

Cango Wildlife Ranch
A sanctuary to some of the world's most endangered animals, and contributes to the conservation of more than 40 species. (Optional) Animal Encounters Get the opportunity to meet these animals in a heart-warming close encounter! Have a ‘once in a lifetime’ experience - touch a Cheetah, enjoy the playful nature of Tiger cubs, wrap yourself in a giant Python and even cage dive with Nile Crocodiles.

REFUNDS & CANCELLATION FEES
Written notification of cancellation must be submitted in order for refunds to be provided. All refunds are made to the original fee payer.

Cancellation prior to arrival for individuals
Students cancelling prior to paying the full course fees will lose their deposit. For students cancelling over 1 month prior to the programme, the cancellation charge will be 20% of the course fee.

For students cancelling between 1 week and 1 month prior to the programme, the cancellation charge will be 50% of the course fee. Students cancelling 7 days or fewer, prior to the programme will not be given a refund.

Cancellation after arrivals or “no shows” for individuals
No refunds will be given once the student has started his/her programme.
