Miscellaneous

  • Cleaning service is upon request. Full apartment cleanings are 52$ + taxes. If students want to do the cleaning themselves they need to buy their own cleaning materials
  • Laundry facilities are available, There are 13 card-operated washers at a cost of 2.50$ per wash. You put either a 5$, 10$, or 20$ on the card to then use them on the machine. Laundry cards can be borrowed from the reception. If the amount on the laundry card is not used in full, it cannot be refunded. If a student loses the card a fee of 20$ will be applied for a replacement. The student needs to buy washing liquid; there is a machine that also makes washing powder available in the laundry room (1$ per unit). 1 unit is good for 1 wash. There are also 13 dryers available at a cost of 2$ per cycle
  • Luggage drop-off is allowed

  • Kitchen utensils are provided
  • 24-Hour Security and CCTV on site
  • Concierge on site, but not from 5 AM to 8 AM on weekdays and from 5 AM to 9 AM on weekends. Concierge is always available to answer the emergency phone line

Description of Local Area

Located at the heart of Montreal’s entertainment scene (Quartier des spectacles/Place Des Arts), anyone staying here can easily enjoy Montreal’s many festivals throughout the year. It is also within walking distance to Mount Royal where you can hike, go snowshoeing or ice skating in the winter, get a beautiful panoramic view over the city, and visit the Lac-aux-Castors (Beaver Lake). Close by there are also many shopping centers, museums, and restaurants that you can easily access by foot or public transportation.

Description of Accommodation

The accommodation is a fully furnished apartment with uncarpeted, wooden floors. The apartment also comes with a fully furnished kitchenette. Parking garage is available at an extra cost. Please refer to the prices listed in the Miscellaneous section.

Arrival and departure

  • Arrival: Saturday (Sunday arrival is allowed)
    Check-in: 15:00 
    Early Check-in is allowed, but needs to be arranged beforehand

    Late Check-in is allowed, but needs to be arranged beforehand 
    Trylon staff will be sitting desk from 9 AM to 5 AM. Check-in at the reception desk, they will hand you your key and tell you how to get to your room.

Journey to school

Take the bus #24 on Rue Sherbrooke, going West, at the corner of Sherbrooke/Jeanne-Mance. Get off on Sherbrooke/Saint Mathieu and walk down Saint Mathieu. School is a 5-minute walk from there.

You can also walk 7 minutes to Place-des-Arts metro station. Take the metro in the direction to Angrignon. You will get off at Guy-Concordia station and the school is a 3-minute walk from either exit.


Cancellations

Cancellation prior to arrival

Students cancelling or postponing 14 days or less prior to their accommodation dates will be charged a two-week accommodation fee at the rate quoted in the price list for the accommodation booked and the accommodation placement fee.

Cancellation after arrival

Students leaving their accommodation must give notice in writing 4 weeks prior to termination. If the 4-week notice period is not provided a cancellation fee equal to 4 weeks of the accommodation cost will apply.  After deducting the price of accommodation used at the rate quoted in the price list, including the required notice period charged at the same rate, students will be refunded the remaining accommodation costs.

Airport Pickup

If you booked an airport transfer, an EC driver will meet you just outside of the arrivals gate and bring you to Trylon. The EC driver will be holding a sign with your name on it. If you do not see an EC driver, go to the Information Desk and call the EC Montreal Emergency phone.

       - Take the STM bus #747
       - When you exit from the Arrivals Gate, look for the blue STM machine to                         purchase your bus ticket
       - Follow the signs ahead to go out to the bus #747 stop
       - Take it until you reach the stop Réné-Lévesque/Saint Laurent and walk across              the  street to the corner of Réné-Lévesque /Saint Laurent
       - Take bus #129-N and get off at the stop Sherbrooke/De Bleury
       - Walk 3 minutes to Trylon Apartments

Arrival Procedures

When you get to the residence, please go to the reception desk. You will be met by a member of staff who will check you in and bring you to your room.

  • Students must be 18+ to choose this accommodation
  • Deposit is not required
  • Guests are allowed
  • Smoking is not permitted
  • While we promote and support diversity, we cannot guarantee language mix. However, we always encourage students to use English to communicate, be respectful, and inclusive of others
  • EC provides a clean living space for all students and expects a basic level of respect from all students. For example, if something is dropped, pick it up; do not leave clothes and belongings on the floor; place rubbish and leftovers in a garbage bag
