Description of accommodation

Living on campus contributes to greater overall satisfaction with and success in college. The Mackin Complex, home to both Lonis and Moreland Hall, is a traditional, comfortable, and convenient residence hall that allows students the opportunity to establish independence and participate in a variety of on campus activities and experiences. Living on campus puts you within walking distance of your classes, labs, the libraries, theaters, concerts, art galleries and sports facilities. You will save hours weekly by living on campus - time used to your academic and social advantage EC is located within the Mackin Complex meaning your classrooms are located just steps away from your residence.

The accommodation consists of single-gender twin bedrooms within mixed-gender floors. There are free laundry facilities, a kitchen area, and shared bathrooms on each floor. Furthermore, there is a movie and student lounge, as well as the Mackin Dining Center located on the lower level. The residence is minutes away from other areas of the campus so students are fully immersed in the college experience!
The residence is for both American and international students. All residence halls have access control on a 24-hour basis and residents are provided with electronic door access. 

Description of local area

Many local cultural organizations host concerts, plays and other performances both on and off-campus. The many city parks include places to relax or catch marvelous views of Lake Ontario and the Oswego River. A thriving farmer's market takes place along West First Street during warmer months. Oswego's downtown area, with mostly 19th-century buildings, features a wide variety of shops, eateries, and bars/nightlife.Oswego's rich history is reflected in its many museums throughout the city as well as Fort Ontario.

By wheel, water, or on foot, each season offers a chance to explore Oswego’s, Oswego proves appealing during any kind of weather and all year round.

Meal Description

EC offers a full board plan, which is required for all students who are living on campus. This meal plan gives students access to all dining facilities on campus. There are 4 all you can eat dining centers on campus and 10 a la carte options. Students can also order from local restaurants using their board plan. These restaurants all deliver directly to the dormitory.

During the academic year, student residences are located within the Mackin Complex. In the summer, housing locations are still on campus but may change location. All housing options offer the same amenities.
